Networking Can Jump-Start Your Career
If you do it correctly networking is a great way to get your name out there and create new opportunities for yourself in your career. You need to make sure you network efficiently and don't waste your time. Here are some tips to help guide you on your networking journey.

New-Age Recruiting: Using Online Social Networks to Secure Employment
While it's a good idea to take advantage of the online social networks such as MySpace, Facebook, etc it's a good idea to make sure that you keep your profiles as professional as possible. Don't post pictures that could be considered inappropriate, etc.

Networking -- Give, Get in the Back Door, and Get Hired
Most people looking for a job will tell you they are networking. And most people are wrong. All you have to do is carry a small notebook around, log how you spend your time during the day, and you’ll likely discover you weren’t networking as much as you thought. Probably not even 25%. Networking is like dieting. Most people on a diet will tell you they don’t snack between meals. And most people are wrong.

Almost 75% of jobs are never advertised - how can you tap into this hidden job market
Ask anyone about their favorite job search strategies and the answer will be almost unanimous: classifieds. Now, ask the same people how they found their last job and most will have a story that involves some form of networking tied into it.
